From the outset, Matchgame ’76, crackling with drunken put-your-fist-through-a-windshield energy, seemed poised to self-destruct. Then, only minutes into it, John Wayne Gacy used a shoelace to strangle Flipper and things went pear-shaped. Not to be outdone, UCBW took the disheveled stage with all the sound and fury of a hurricane’s infected urinary tract (like all improv, you just had to be there). And Tomoyasu Hotei‘s Battle Without Honor or Humanity as the show’s soundtrack seemed especially inspired. Man-ass after the jump.
