Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman are all Dreamers of similar ilk. This video (the youboobtube clip is more grainy) by Gondry caught my attention in early 2000 and has staked a claim in my subconscious ever since. Years later, Gondry is at the height of his game.

What I find most intriguing about the French visionary is his ability

to remember being small, playing under the table and dreaming. This has lead him to work with Dave C. and David C., both of whom I also admire greatly (for similar reasons). And as far as immortality goes … well, Gondry recently earned this. As an aside, I had hoped to meet him a few weeks ago, but a pre-show improv practice precluded that. Regardless, I remain inspired.
