According to my blog stats, this is my 1,000th post on ImprovIsGoodforYou.com — a milestone! And speaking of milestones, the above photo is my first-ever standup comedy performance at last night’s “Cold Soda” hosted by Chris Grace. Getting to try standup was fun, the audience could not have been more supportive, and the experience was definitely one of those rare and fleeting moments that will someday compose the true story of my life. To that point, I first started this photoblog in 2006 to catch similar moments on the improv stage and make them available for everyone to see. A thousand posts later and I can honestly say I’ve never lost sight of that goal, and resultingly, I have been rewarded by regular visitors. And for that, I am truly grateful.

Woo hoo! Congrats, Keith, and congrats to all us. Improvising in New York would be a different experience without the work you do here, Keith. I have almost no shots of myself performing in Chicago. I have a bunch of me performing here, and they’re all thanks to you.
